Introduction

Currently in Israel, there are over 1.2 million family caregivers.

The age range is between 20-60 years old.

The essence of the app is to create a system that accompanies family caregivers and provides a systematic view of family member care, tailored to processes and

bureaucracy in Israel.

The Challenge

Caregiving often comes out of left field, with no heads up.

People don't know where to start or who to turn to.

There are numerous tasks in various aspects such as accompanying medical examinations, helping to employ a certified caregiver, managing household chores, which often creates a financial burden. This leads to a feeling

of helplessness.

The Solution

A system that accompanies caregivers, offering a holistic view of the family member’s care.

It serves as a guide throughout the entire journey a family needs to go through. It offers an easy and accessible solution for dealing with multiple factors simultaneously: medical, insurance, and emotional. The system will be non-profit and will promote relevant but non-personalized advertisements.

Research

To determine how best to assist family caregivers,

I conducted surveys and personal interviews with caregivers.

Key areas of focus included searching for information,

using task management, tracking tools, and self-care

(including mental health).

Naama’s mother had a stroke and is currently hospitalized in a rehabilitation facility in Tel Aviv, classified as requiring intensive care. Naama, the primary caregiver, has two siblings.

Motivations
  • Awareness of her mother’s medical and insurance status.

  • Preparing her mother’s home for her eventual discharge.

  • Feeling overwhelmed and disorganized by the numerous entities she has to deal with.
